Geosearch now requests 30-day pageviews per page, summed into a popularity score. List view gets a sort menu (Popularity / Distance, defaulting to Popularity) persisted in Prefs. Map markers scale logarithmically by pageviews relative to the most popular page in view, so notable places stand out.

What does this do?
pvipto fetch pageviews (no extra request). Why is this needed?
It is useful to quickly find relevant articles / POIs in a geographical area. Concrete example: in Paris, the current distance-only default surfaces mostly street-name history articles rather than the main points of interest.
The sort menu is structured to allow adding more options later.
