Superseded: this bump was landed on main directly, not merged from this branch.

vite ^8.0.4 -> ^8.2.1 is included in commit 0aaea9a, which lands all eight of this repo's open Dependabot bumps as one verified batch.

Why as a batch rather than merging this PR: the only workflow here (.github/workflows/pages.yml) triggers on push to main, so an open Dependabot PR gets no CI signal whatsoever. Merging one at a time would mean each bump is first verified by the very run that also publishes the site — the live demo could already be broken by the time anything is known. The batch was gated locally first, then confirmed in real CI.

Gate run before the push, matching the build job's own commands and order: npx tsc --noEmit, npm test --if-present (no test script, no-op as in CI), npm run build, npm run test:a11y. All green — tsc clean, vite built, and all 5 Playwright tests passed (3 pairing-claims specs plus both axe WCAG A/AA scans).

Post-push CI on 0aaea9a was green end to end: run 32201560494, both the build and deploy jobs, and Pages redeployed successfully.

Nothing was held back. Closing this PR and deleting its branch.
