Immediately dereferencing an ordinary reference-returning call, such as
view(&value).*, failed withBackend cannot resolve call target viewon canonical main. Executable call-target discovery omitted TIR ReferentPlace subjects, so the call reached MIR without its callee instance. The same pre-existing omission dropped both descriptor-specializedReflect.borrowFieldwrapper calls in a concrete reflected loop.Traverse the referent subject using the existing projection path. Structural regressions prove the ordinary callee and both sealed field specializations enter discovery, and two shared native acceptance cases pin exit 42.
Both new structural tests failed on unchanged main and pass with this fix; touched-file lint and formatting pass. A freshly built private bootstrap compiles the ordinary reference helper and the authored public Reflect.borrowField wrapper repro; both optimized binaries exit 42 with empty output. Compiler and test TypeScript checks, touched-file lint, and formatting passed. Full exact-head main CI run 38035997018 passed: all 26 jobs completed with 21 successes and five intentional skips on dea4ef2.
Canonical main push run 38035268247 retains two established compilation gaps: owned-provider-shared-dispatch (GeneratedEffectRunnerLoweringError at Run, driver:427–444) and effect-retry-and-provide-effect (the same error at Run, driver:1952–1969). Both reproduce on earlier fa4/687 controls and remain owned by the stage1 coordinator. This follow-up does not claim a clean full-corpus main push or change failure expectations.
