Guess the project is dead, since such a simple pull request haven't gotten any love at all? |

I am not sure about it being dead, but it looks like the author has not provided an email address to github, meaning github hasn't been able to tell him "Hey you have a Pull Request waiting." :( I tried finding it on his personal website, without any luck. |

There are just a couple of trailing slashes that most browsers could handle, but IE couldn't.
