• upgrade React Native and aligned tooling to 0.87.0, including CLI 20.2.0 and Metro 0.87
• apply the official 0.87 community-template Android changes: SDK/build tools 37, Kotlin 2.2.0, Gradle 9.4.1, AGP 9 compatibility flags, edge-to-edge, and optimized ProGuard
• refresh the iOS pod graph, update compatible navigation native dependencies, and migrate affected code to React Native 0.87 public APIs/types
• raise the example Node.js requirement to React Native 0.87's supported ranges
