Closing — holding this bump.

Microsoft.SourceLink.GitHub is a build-only package (embeds repo/commit metadata into PDBs for source-stepping); it has no runtime or functional impact on the shipped packages. The 1.1.1 -> 10.0.300 major jump detonates cascading System.Memory assembly-unification conflicts (MSB3277) across target frameworks:

  • netstandard2.0 unifies to System.Memory assembly 4.0.2.0
  • net481 unifies to assembly 4.0.5.0
  • the transitive graph (via System.Memory.Data / Azure) resolves System.Memory 4.5.5 = assembly 4.0.1.2

Pinning System.Memory resolves one target framework and immediately surfaces the next, and a repo-wide pin would change runtime dependency resolution for every SDK consumer — non-trivial risk for zero functional benefit. Not proportionate for a build-only package.

Revisit if/when the transitive System.Memory floor moves. Dependabot can re-propose.

OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version. You can also ignore all major, minor, or patch releases for a dependency by adding an ignore condition with the desired update_types to your config file.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.
