Current Behavior

The page URL after encoding in Sharepoint Online is not working as expected

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fluentui#/styles/web/icons#available-icons

After adding this link to Sharepoint Online - It changes to https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fluentui#/styles/web/icons%23available-icons

This link leads to 404 - Page not found

As per the Product team this is expected behavior as they are encoding all the non leading # character as %23 tp avoid nested URL embedding and the destination team has to decode it.

Please fix this at the earliest so that customer can navigate to this site without any issue.

Go to Sharepoint online site.
Edit the Page.
Add the hyperlink in the Modern Text Webpart Eg - https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fluentui#/styles/web/icons#available-icons
Save and Publish the Page.
The link gets encoded to - https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fluentui#/styles/web/icons%23available-icons

The link leads to Page not found.
