Platformer not working + spacebar not working from search

Expected Behavior

Spacebar: for it to use the gamemodes current ability.
Platformer: for the A/D keys to move the players X Coordinate.

Actual Behavior

spacebar: typed in a space inside of the search textbox.
platformer: my players X Coordinate did not move.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open geode
2. Click hammer & wrench
3. Click magnifying glass
4. Type in any level name into the search textbox
5. play level

Additional Information

1. does not happen when you search in the saved menu.
2. To fix this bug you need to make it so it cancels the typing of the search bar once you search a level (example: destroy the textbox and reproduce it once back in the menu

also before you close it saying it may be mod related it happens in safe mode too
