This is the initial release of the Biological Imaging Methods Ontology (FBbi) under its new ownership under the umbrella of the FoundingGIDE project.

It is intended to supersede both the version previously maintained by the PhenoImageShare project (with the explicit agreement of David Osumi-Sutherland) and the version previously maintained by the Center for Research in Biological Systems – both of which have been inactive for a long time.
