[bitnami/rabbitmq-cluster-operator] Metrics scraping does fail with invalid certificate #36602

Closed

Description

@jonasbadstuebner

Name and Version

bitnami/rabbitmq-cluster-operator 4.4.40

What steps will reproduce the bug?

  1. Install the rabbitmq-cluster-operator chart with version 4.4.40
  2. Enable the ServiceMonitor for the metrics

Are you using any custom parameters or values?

msgTopologyOperator:
  metrics:
    serviceMonitor:
      enabled: true

What is the expected behavior?

The metrics should be scraped

What do you see instead?

Prometheus says:
Error scraping target: Get "https://<pod-IP>:8080/metrics": tls: failed to verify certificate: x509: certificate is valid for 127.0.0.1, not <pod-IP>

Additional information

This can be fixed by setting the metrics to be served by HTTP instead - I'll open a PR that also fixes #36601
