Summary

  • .deb packaging (amd64, arm64) that repackages the release job's static amber and amber-lsp archives (scripts/packaging/build_deb.sh, dpkg-deb in a digest-pinned Ubuntu container, archive sha256 checked, fails closed). Recommends crystal-alpha | crystal.
  • release.yml: new package-deb job attaches the debs and SHA256SUMS to a published release.
  • Arch/Omarchy: packaging/arch/amber-cli-bin PKGBUILD + .SRCINFO with real sha256 pins for v2.0.6, plus AUR submission README.
  • New packaging.yml (pull_request on packaging/**): builds, installs, and runs amber --version in Ubuntu 24.04 (amd64 and arm64 runners) and Arch (makepkg as non-root, pacman -U).
  • README install section: .deb and Arch/Omarchy, marked "coming soon: apt repo" / AUR.

Targets Amber V2 (main) only. Nothing is published to the AUR or an apt repo. No man page or shell completions exist in the repo, so none are packaged.

Pins: ubuntu:24.04 sha256:a853f94d..., archlinux:base-devel sha256:51dd3d24..., release archives and LICENSE by sha256 (see packaging/pinned_release.env); existing actions reuse the SHAs already in release.yml.

Repackage the release job's static linux archives as .deb files (built
with dpkg-deb in a digest-pinned Ubuntu container, archive sha256 verified),
attach them with SHA256SUMS on release, add an amber-cli-bin PKGBUILD with
pinned sha256sums, and add a pull_request workflow that installs both
packages in digest-pinned Ubuntu and Arch containers.
