ReadForge is a private reading tracker: want/reading/finished shelves with drag-and-drop, click-to-set progress bars, star ratings, and a yearly goal counter. Single-file GPLv2 plugin, bundled resource, no external requests. Tested via @wp-playground/cli (PHP 8.3, WP 7.0.1): full book lifecycle, goal counting, and auth checks verified.

The recipe assembles a private reading hub around it: ReadForge for shelves and goals, Memex for quotes and per-book notes, and the RSS Reader (optional) for following authors - included in the same PR as allowed by contributing-recipes.md for new app dependencies.
