Awesome OpenAI Dots

Discover plugins, connected apps, source packages, and practical use cases for OpenAI dots in ChatGPT. The full lists are included below and mirrored in the categories/ and use-cases/ files for easier browsing.

Dots are always-on agents in ChatGPT that can work toward ongoing goals, use a cloud computer, and connect to apps you choose. This repository is a curated directory and inspiration library. It links to installable items in the public plugin directory where available, to inspectable plugin packages on GitHub, and to permission-aware workflows that put them to use.

Quick links

What is listed here?

  • ChatGPT directory entries link to the app or plugin's detail page. Availability can vary by plan, region, workspace, and product surface.
  • GitHub plugin packages link to source folders with manifests, skills, MCP configuration, or other implementation files. They are useful to inspect and learn from; a source folder is not itself a one-click ChatGPT install link.
  • Use cases combine supported apps and dot capabilities into practical scenarios. They are marked proposed or tested and include their human review points.

The public directory and OpenAI's GitHub examples are related parts of the plugin ecosystem, but they are not mirrors of one another. ChatGPT and Codex share a public directory on supported surfaces; individual plugins can still have surface-specific requirements. See the official plugin documentation.

Curation and safety

Directory links are copied from and verified against the ChatGPT plugin directory. Many detail pages use opaque IDs in their URLs, so do not guess a link from an app name. GitHub links point to source folders in the OpenAI plugins repository.

Listings and workflows are curated, not audited or endorsed by OpenAI. Plugins can request access to connected services or perform actions with external effects. Review the detail page, permissions, and source before connecting or installing anything. Use human approval for sending, publishing, merging, deploying, deleting, or changing production data.
