PrtEasySetup is a lightweight all-in-one printer deployment utility for Windows.

It is designed for IT administrators, maintenance engineers, MSP service providers, and users who need a simple way to deploy printers, create printer installation profiles, install printer drivers, and back up or restore printer preferences.

Version v1.2.0.0 is a major update rebuilt with native C++.
This version adds a new window-based interface and improves the printer deployment workflow, configuration loading, and installation stability.

How to Use

1. Prepare Printer Driver Files

Place PrtEasySetup.exe in the same folder as your printer driver files.

Example:

PrtEasySetup.exe
*.inf
*.dll
*.cat
other driver files

2. Run as Administrator

Run PrtEasySetup.exe as Administrator.

Printer installation and port creation usually require administrator permission.

3. Create or Load Deployment Profile

If ip.ini does not exist, the tool can help you create a printer deployment profile.

If ip.ini already exists, the tool will load and display the saved printer profile information.

4. Start Printer Deployment

After confirming the printer profile information, click Start Printer Deployment to install the printer.

Main Workflow

First Run - Create ip.ini

When no ip.ini file exists, PrtEasySetup can guide you to create a printer deployment profile.

The profile stores:

• IP / Port
• Printer name
• Driver name
• INF file
• Attribute flags

Existing ip.ini - Deploy Printer

When ip.ini already exists, PrtEasySetup loads the saved deployment profile and displays the printer information in the main window.

You can confirm the settings before starting deployment.

Reinstall Existing Printer

If the same printer already exists on the computer, you can reinstall the printer using the saved profile.

Backup / Restore Printer Preferences

PrtEasySetup supports exporting and importing printer preferences using set.dat.

This is useful for keeping printer settings consistent across multiple computers, such as:

• Paper size
• Tray selection
• Duplex setting
• Color / black-and-white setting
• Other printer preferences

使用方式

1. 準備印表機驅動檔案

請將 PrtEasySetup.exe 與印表機驅動程式檔案放在同一個資料夾。

如果資料夾內已經存在 ip.ini，本工具會自動載入並顯示已儲存的印表機設定資訊。

4. 開始部署印表機

確認印表機設定資訊後，點選 開始部署印表機 即可進行安裝。
