fix(solid-query/QueryClient): type the 'reconcile' function with 'unknown' so it no longer affects 'TData' inference - #12463
Solid's reconcile function was typed with TData ((oldData: TData | undefined, newData: TData) => TData), which made it take part in TData inference and caused these type errors:
// 1. inline queryOptions / infiniteQueryOptions: data is inferred as undefineduseQuery(()=>queryOptions({ queryKey,queryFn: ()=>Promise.resolve(5)})).data// undefined// 2. spreading queryOptions and adding select: the spread carries a 'reconcile' typed with the unselected datauseQuery(()=>({ ...options,select: (data)=>data.length}))// No overload matches this call// 3. reconcile written before select: TData is fixed before select is inferreduseQuery(()=>({ queryKey, queryFn,reconcile: (oldData, newData)=>newData, select: (data)=>data.length}))// No overload matches this call
This types the reconcile function the same way as core's structuralSharing (#6888): (oldData: unknown | undefined, newData: unknown) => unknown. A reconcile callback now receives unknown parameters, as a structuralSharing callback does.
QueryClient.ts: type the reconcile function of QueryObserverOptions and InfiniteQueryObserverOptions with unknown.
useQuery.test-d.tsx: add type tests for inline queryOptions with and without initialData, unknown parameters of reconcile, reconcile before select, and spreading queryOptions with select.
useInfiniteQuery.test-d.tsx: add type tests for inline infiniteQueryOptions with and without initialData, and spreading infiniteQueryOptions with select.

This change is docs/CI/dev-only (no release).
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Improved TypeScript type inference for useQuery and useInfiniteQuery when options are provided inline or spread, including cases with initialData and select. Results now correctly indicate when data may be undefined and retain the selected result type.
Updated reconcile callback types to accept unknown data, helping preserve inferred result types when reconciliation is combined with selection or other query options.
The Solid query observer reconcile callback types now use unknown for their parameters and return values. Type tests cover inline query option helpers, initialData inference, and selected data inference.
Type tests cover inline queryOptions and infiniteQueryOptions calls, initialData presence or absence, and selected data inference when options are spread.
Some TypeScript consumers may see builds fail after upgrading because their existing reconcile callbacks no longer type-check. Preserve compatibility before merging.

Type reconcile with NoInfer<TData> instead of unknown.
With unknown return type, a reconcile callback can return any value, and reconcileFn stores that value as query data. NoInfer<TData> keeps the callback's parameters and return value typed as TData. It also prevents reconcile from inferring TData.
Apply the same change to both QueryObserverOptions and InfiniteQueryObserverOptions. The reconcile callback parameter types test in packages/solid-query/src/__tests__/useQuery.test-d.tsx asserts unknown parameters when TData is not specified. Update that assertion to the TData-typed parameters.

Add a reconcile callback to the infinite-query spread-and-select test.
The spread-and-select test in useInfiniteQuery.test-d.tsx does not pass reconcile. Because reconcile is absent, the test cannot detect a regression where reconcile affects TData inference on the infinite-query path. Add a reconcile callback before select. Keep the assertion on the selected data type. The assertion does not depend on whether reconcile parameters are unknown or TData-typed.

Preserve explicitly typed reconcile callbacks.

Preserve explicitly typed reconcile callbacks.
The new function type is a breaking change for strict TypeScript consumers. A callback with explicitly typed Foo parameters was valid before, but it is not assignable to the new unknown-parameter type. This affects both QueryObserverOptions and InfiniteQueryObserverOptions.
Use one shared bivariant callback type with unknown parameters. This preserves the patch’s inference fix and restores compatibility. Add type tests for explicitly typed callbacks in both option types.

Define one shared bivariant reconcile callback type with unknown parameters,
then use it for the reconcile properties in QueryObserverOptions and
InfiniteQueryObserverOptions to preserve inference and accept explicitly typed
callbacks. Add type tests confirming explicitly typed callbacks are accepted by
both option types.
