The Ultimate Backport Mod brings the magic of modern Minecraft updates back into classic versions like 1.12.2. Our goal is to recreate features, blocks, and mechanics from newer editions while keeping the nostalgic charm of older versions alive.
With UBM, you can experience the best of both worlds:
- ✨ Modern features in a stable 1.12.2 environment

- ⚙️ Compatibility focus to work seamlessly alongside other popular mods
- 🔨 Even features that didn't find a way in the game will be added! F. ex. the Glare, Rascal, Moobloom, ...
- 📥 Download the latest release from the Releases page
- 📂 Put the downloaded .jar in your
modsfolder - 📎 If not done yet, download and put the .jar-File of Pathfinder API in your
modsfolder aswell - 📂 Make sure you run Minecraft Forge 1.12.2
- 🎮 Launch the game and enjoy modern Minecraft in a classic world!
When installing the mod on servers, you don't need to install PathFinderAPI! It's only needed on your own computer, the client.
- UBM needs Pathfinder API to run. This library helps it creating the modern command suggestion UI.
