Changelog

  • Add an optional cross-MRG region parameter for Discovery supporting dataplane resources.
  • Deploy the virtual network, managed identity, and storage account in the override region while keeping Discovery resources in the primary region.
  • Pass the override region to the Supercomputer and Workspace through the discovery.overridemrgregion tag.
  • Synchronize the sample parameters and document cross-MRG deployment.
  • Record the successful Azure deployment in metadata.json.

Validation

  • az bicep build passed.
  • ARM preflight validation passed.
  • What-if completed with 15 creates, 0 modifications, and 0 deletions.
  • Deployment succeeded in resource group mduabicep0922026.
  • Discovery resources were verified in UK South.
  • The virtual network, managed identity, and storage account were verified in Sweden Central.

Allow Discovery control-plane resources and supporting dataplane resources to deploy in separate regions, update sample parameters and documentation, and record the successful validation deployment.
