## π Getting Started
Follow these instructions to get a local development environment running.
### Prerequisites
* Python 3.10+
* PostgreSQL 14+
* Docker & Docker Compose
* Node.js 16+ (for frontend development)
### Installation & Setup
1. **Clone the repository:**
```sh
git clone [https://github.com/your-username/paksa-financial-system.git](https://github.com/your-username/paksa-financial-system.git)
cd paksa-financial-system
```
2. **Create and activate a virtual environment:**
```sh
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # On Windows use `venv\Scripts\activate`
```
3. **Install dependencies:**
```sh
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
4. **Configure environment variables:**
* Copy the example environment file:
```sh
cp .env.example .env
```
* Update the `.env` file with your local database credentials and other required API keys.
5. **Run database migrations:**
```sh
alembic upgrade head
```
6. **Start the development server:**
```sh
uvicorn main:app --reload
```
The application should now be running on `http://127.0.0.1:8000`.
