🧠 second-brain-cloudflare - Your memories available in every tool

🎯 What this tool does

This application acts as a digital memory bank for your information. When you save a note or a file, this tool makes that data available to your AI software. You can connect your local files and notes to tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. You store your information once, and every AI client you use gains access to that knowledge.

The software runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. This approach keeps your data under your control while using the free tier of Cloudflare services. You no longer need to copy and paste chunks of text into different AI windows. This tool bridges the gap between your information and your AI assistants.

🛠️ System requirements

Before you install this software, confirm your computer meets these minimum requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Memory: 4GB of available RAM.
  • Network: A stable internet connection.
  • Account: A free Cloudflare account for cloud storage.

You do not need to know programming or command-line scripting to run this. The installer handles the setup process for your Windows environment.

📥 Getting the software

You need to download the installer from the official release page.

Visit this page to download the latest setup file

Look for the file that ends with ".exe" for Windows. Save this file to your computer.

⚙️ Setting up your memory bank

  1. Locate the downloaded ".exe" file in your Downloads folder.
  2. Double-click the file to start the installation.
  3. Follow the prompts on the screen. Windows might ask for permission to run the software; select "Run" or "Yes" to continue.
  4. Once the installation completes, click the tool icon on your desktop to open the dashboard.
  5. The dashboard will ask for your Cloudflare login credentials. These credentials connect your local computer to your personal cloud storage space.
  6. The application performs a quick check to ensure your Cloudflare settings are correct.

After the check finishes, the interface will display a status message confirming that your memory layer is active.

🔗 Connecting your AI tools

This application uses the Model Context Protocol, often called MCP, to talk to your AI software. To connect your tools, follow these steps:

  1. Open your AI application, such as Cursor or Claude.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu in your AI application.
  3. Look for a section labeled "MCP Servers" or "Tools."
  4. Click the button to add a new server.
  5. The second-brain-cloudflare interface provides a local address for your memory layer. Copy this address into the "Server URL" box in your AI application.
  6. Save your changes.

Your AI application will now recognize the memory layer. When you ask a question in your AI tool, it will check your stored data to provide a better answer.

📂 Storing your knowledge

You can add information to your brain in several ways:

  • Drag and drop files directly into the application window.
  • Point the application to a local folder on your computer that contains your notes or documents. The software will monitor this folder and add new items automatically.
  • Use the clipboard feature to save text segments as you work on websites or documents.

Once you add an item, the tool processes the content. It creates a map of the information so your AI tools can search through your library in seconds.

🔒 Private and secure

Your data remains private. Because you host the software on your own Cloudflare account, no third-party company accesses your notes. You maintain ownership of all the files you store. Updates to the software come through the same release page you visited earlier, ensuring you have the latest features and security improvements.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay for Cloudflare?

No. This tool uses the free tier of Cloudflare Workers and D1 database. These services provide plenty of space for standard personal note-taking needs.

Can I use this with multiple AI assistants?

Yes. You can connect this memory layer to as many AI applications as you wish. Follow the connection steps for each separate tool you use.

What happens if I go offline?

The system caches recent information locally. If your internet connection drops, you can still view your recent notes. The system synchronizes the data once your connection returns.

How do I delete stored data?

Open the dashboard and navigate to your library. You can select specific items to delete or clear your entire collection. Changes reflect across all connected AI tools almost immediately.

Does this slow down my computer?

The application uses very little system memory. It runs in the background while you work and stays out of your way until you need to search your notes.
