I would like to propose a feature for sqlc that allows users to override the definitions of standard functions through an external configuration file. This feature aims to enhance flexibility and user autonomy in addressing issues without waiting for official releases.

Motivation

In the current state, users often find themselves waiting for sqlc releases to incorporate updates or fixes related to catalog changes. This waiting period can slow down development processes and hinders the ability to quickly respond to project-specific requirements. By enabling the override of standard functions via an external configuration, users can address these issues promptly, enhancing productivity and efficiency.
