pg_orca brings the ORCA cost-based query optimizer (originally from
Greenplum and Apache Cloudberry) into PostgreSQL 18 as a single
CREATE EXTENSION plugin. On TPC-DS sf=1, pg_orca is ≥2.77× faster than
PostgreSQL 18 across all 99 queries, and finishes 5 queries that PG times
out at 120s. The biggest single-query win is 254× on TPC-DS Q1.
