Unfortunately without an example backup I'm not able to help. A LLM may be able to adapt this code base to work with your backup. If so, a PR would be great.

Implemented in v0.3.0: call-log export now tries both prefixed-IV and legacy fixed-IV encryption layouts, accepts plaintext XML, and removes illegal XML 1.0 control bytes before parsing. Please reopen with the anonymized diagnostic report if the 2023 backup still fails.
