What caused the crash
I was in Thunderbird saving 2 files simultaneously (“Save all” button) to a directory (Nautilus being my file-browser), but both files already existed, so it asked if I wanted to overwrite, and I said no, so I suppose it was about to request a new name for the file, or just switch to the next file.
