Empty PDF in local mode

Describe the bug

The pdf has zero pages. Yet, the document compiles without errors on overleaf.com.
I opened the project locally.
I also disabled vscode-pdf. Trying to open the file directly (by downloading it from vscode running remotely), I cannot open it with my pdf viewer.
After reloading/recompiling several times, it suddenly has 4 pages again (but some are white pages which is wrong). This happens quite often.

Expected behavior

The pdf should have more than 0 pages.

update: try to unset the auto build for overleaf-workshop and set the autobuild option in latex workshop to onSave.

update: You can try changing the PDF output directory of the latex-workshop extension to the parent directory of the working directory to solve the problem. It is suspected that during the sync process, there is no PDF file on the cloud after the PDF is rendered, so the rendered PDF content was deleted.

Same issue. The PDF is correctly compiled at first, but after the sync process, it becomes a zero-byte file.
