Ibex frontend not supported on Windows

During IBEX frontend installation and build on windows powershell, the following is observed.

After ‘npm install’, when the command ‘npm run package’ is executed, it runs indefinitely without completing.

Thank you for the detailed report and for the clear reproduction steps.

IBEX is currently developed and supported on Linux only. The build and run tooling (the install.sh / launch.sh scripts, and the packaging step producing the ibex-linux-x64 target) assumes a Linux environment, so running npm run package on Windows PowerShell is not expected to complete (which matches the behavior you're seeing).

At this stage, Windows is not part of our supported platforms, so I'd recommend building and running IBEX on a Linux machine (or via NoMachine) for now.

That said, Windows support is something we could look into in the future. If it's an important use case for you, please let us know. We'll be happy to consider it and factor the demand into our planning.
