No, I'm not the author of the code in the zip file. I merely came across it here on github and found that it actually worked so I used it to make AC-4 versions of Kodi and a few other applications that relied on ffmpeg to decode AC-4 audio. The original author began demanding money to continue his work on this fork because AC-4 encoding still hadn't been written yet. It was pointed out by several people that accepting money to work on ffmpeg is against the licensing terms since ffmpeg is open source so in retaliation he intentionally broke his fork so that it no longer decoded AC-4. So this zip archive is a mirror of his fork prior to him rage quitting and breaking his fork. I wouldn't feel comfortable submitting this to the ffmpeg group since it isn't my work.

Thanks for the info. I won't pursue the ffmpeg aspect given what you said.

My main hope for this is that at some point, I hope to do what you did with Kodi for MediaPortal.

It looks like ac4 development may be continuing for ffmpeg, so hopefully, there will be an official ffmpeg release that supports ac4.
