"New line" doesn't work in the editor

Unfortunately, the website only displays continuous text. However, a new line is still displayed correctly in the preview.
This happens no matter of whether it's a page or a post, and regardless of which theme is being used.

Unfortunately, this makes htmly unusable for me.
Is there any help available here?
