how to make it work with vscode test extension

I don't know if this was tested before, but is there some way to make it work with vscode extension, like C++ TestMate? This is typically used by GTest and Catch2...
I think somehow the main test must emit some some json response, based on arguments --reporter json --list-tests...

Has someone tried some example on this before? Before I dig too deep in workarounds here :)

Question: is there some way to silence the reporter? Like this (ChatGPT suggestion lol):

Because I'm trying to build some json emiter for the extension, but this final message seems to be breaking my json...

[EDIT] - this is more complex than I first imagined... I'm leaving this to future explorations :)

Just hoping someone builds something like https://github.com/matepek/vscode-catch2-test-adapter/blob/master/src/framework/Catch2/Catch2Executable.ts for boost-ext/ut... I think it requires some knowledge of typescript and vscode plugin system, to at least adapt Catch2 or doctest examples... or maybe just mimic their typical output.
If someone does this, please let me know.
