Actions to be taken for the v2.3.0 release:

• Update readme on v2.2 branch
• Prepare the release notes for v2.2.1
• Make a v2.2.1 release that contains the hot fixes, CI fix, and readme update
• Backport the readme update from v2.2 to v2.3-wip branch
• Update the readme with any other relevant information on v2.3-wip branch
• Update changelog with all relevant information on v2.3.0
• Update XMLSpy project file to include all new examples
• Prepare the release notes for v2.3.0
• Make the v2.3.0 release
