Hi everyone, I have made progress, I started creating the plugin, so far I have replaced the Vite API with Rsbuild's, and started rewriting the parts that depend on Babel with swc, today I finished the remove-devtools part, hopefully the others will follow soon. Thanks for the opportunity in knowing about plugins and ASTs. |

TanStack Router already has first-class Rsbuild/RSPack support via
@tanstack/router-plugin/plugins/rspack, and many projects (especially larger ones) are adopting Rsbuild for its superior performance in monorepos and big codebases. However, there is currently no official way to get the new TanStack Devtools panel working cleanly with Rsbuild — only a Vite plugin (
@tanstack/devtools-vite-plugin) or manual injection are available. It feels inconsistent that TanStack Router works great out-of-the-box with Rsbuild, but the unified Devtools experience does not.
Proposed solution
Create an official Rsbuild plugin (e.g.
@tanstack/devtools-rsbuild-pluginthat:position,initialIsOpen,hideButton, etc.)This would bring full parity between Vite and Rsbuild ecosystems and make migration/adoption smoother.
Happy to help with a draft implementation or PR if the general direction looks good!
Thanks!
