Performance regression and sluggish table scrolling since Refresh UI update #795

Description

@lmalma

Hi TablePlus team,

Since the recent Refresh UI update in TablePlus for Windows, the app has started to feel noticeably slower and less responsive.

According to the Windows changelog, the Refresh UI change appears around:

  • TablePlus 7.0.2 Build 352 — 21 May 2026
  • TablePlus 7.1.0 Build 358 — 26 May 2026

The main issue I notice is while browsing tables: scrolling feels sluggish, both vertically and horizontally.

It does not necessarily happen immediately after opening the app, but after using TablePlus for some time, the whole UI starts to feel less smooth and less fluid. Actions such as switching tabs, opening tables, browsing data, and scrolling through large tables feel slower than before.

Before the UI refresh, the same workflows felt much smoother and more stable.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 11
  • TablePlus version: 7.1.4
  • Database type: PostgreSQL

Expected behavior:
TablePlus should remain smooth and responsive during regular usage, including vertical and horizontal scrolling in tables.

Actual behavior:
After some time of use, the app becomes less fluid. Table scrolling feels sluggish both vertically and horizontally, and the UI generally feels less responsive.

Could you please check whether the Refresh UI update introduced a performance regression or memory/performance issue over time?

Thank you.
