Battery SoC, charge and discharge rate

Representation of one or multiple battery devices that store electric energy. This is becoming much more common with solar power and lack of remuneration for feeding power into the grid.

The primary metric I'm thinking of is "State of Charge" (SoC, aka "how full is the battery?"). This could be a percentage but even better metrics would be current and full values in kWh.

On top of that we could expose the charge rate (how long until full?) and discharge rate (how long until empty?).

Since you already seem to have some expectations of what the sensor should cover, I think the best way forward would be for you to implement such a sensor value in your API endpoint, which could then be used as a reference for the v16 JSONSchema, and as a basis for discussion for other people interested in this sensor.

Since we explicitly allow non-standard keys in the SpaceAPI schema, your endpoint would remain valid with your added new sensor.

This is what we have right now. It represents the current charge of the battery system (stacked) in Watt hours. What this does not tell you is how much capacity we have in total and I'm looking for ideas here.
