The software bill of materials (SBOM) is gaining traction in the US based on the recent US government including SBOM in a set of requirements to protect the software supply chain. So, because of this new mandate there are many organizations looking to address the SBOM requirement without really understanding the complexity that got us to the software supply chain shit show we now have.
