This is a bit of an edge case. The zone would also need the meshes added to support movement, and every object rendered... That's quite the proposed effort. You'll find a lot more options are available in re-using existing zones differently than their current use over adding entirely new ones. Even re-using a zone like Valkurm dunes to create a new one (devs have done this several times for things like Dynamis and Abyssea) requires a great deal of effort. You would need to become comfortable with dat editing, I think. Unless you wanted to remove Valkurm Dunes from the game and entirely replace it. If that is what you're going for, you might be able to man-in-the-middle the client like you've suggested, but, why not just replace what's happening in the existing zone in that case? Then your dat editing is limited to changing names. It's an interesting idea, but I believe it's generally outside the scope of this project. |

I know the client doesn't know what zone 300 and I have no idea how to edit ftable.dat to add new zone. In my mind the solution is either:
