How to play a target video with dynamic url？
the ChangeVideoContent？but how to play the first video without adding it to the multiStreamProperties in inspector？

Hi @Dejavu0709 , to add streams at runtime, you can do something like this:

1. Initialize the controller with an empty list.

2. Then, according to your desired logic, you can create a new stream as follows (In your controller that inherits from HISPlayerManager):

StreamProperties stream = new StreamProperties();   // Create the empty stream
stream.renderMode = HISPlayerRenderMode.RawImage;   // Configure the render mode you want
stream.rawImage = screens[screenIndex];             // Add your renderTexture, material or rawImage, depending on the chosen mode.
stream.autoPlay = true;                             // You can configure other properties for your stream, such as autoPlay, loop, or autoTransition.
AddStream(stream);                                  // Add the stream

string url = "YourURL";
AddVideoContent(playerIndex, url);                  // Add the video content with the URL (You need to use the index of the player you just created)

Note: This API is not available for WebGL.

How would this work for WebGL?
If I cannot use AddVideoContent does this mean I would always need a url to be in there (e.g., statically defined in 'editor time'), so that I can use ChangeVideoContent on the first url index?
This is already quite a work-around, but I also cannot get this to work with let's say a blank.mp4 that I have in streaming assets as the urls need to be absolute and the streaming assets url differs in the Unity Editor (windows path) vs the built version in WebGL (where it is a https url).

Hope you can provide me some insights here.

Hi @SwenRanj , In this case, the behavior you're seeing is expected. WebGL does not support loading local video files (such as an MP4 included in StreamingAssets). For WebGL, all video content must be accessible through a valid remote URL.
Right now, the APIs AddStream / RemoveStream and AddVideoContent / RemoveVideoContent are still under development for WebGL. Once these features become available, they will provide a more flexible way to manage your video content.
We will inform you as soon as these APIs are released.

What do you mean with:

You can also refer to assets in 'remote url form' when they are in streaming assets right?

So there's no way for me to set a url and play a video at runtime in WebGL currently? My use case is that I have an educative game with lessons that also contain video content. Each lesson has different videos that are configured by content authors (outside of Unity), so the video player would need to support runtime url setting and playing.

Hi @SwenRanj , what I meant by “For WebGL, all video content must be accessible through a valid remote URL” is that in WebGL you cannot play a local video content, like an MP4 placed in StreamingAssets. You will need an HLS or DASH or ProgressiveDownload URLs. We will add it to the roadmap to support local video from StreamingAssets for WebGL.

However, how can we acquire the latest version of HISPlayer for WebGL? The Asset Store is still providing only version 4.11.0.
