Welcome: replace the stale multi-branch (master/stable/develop) model with the current single-branch (main) + tagged-releases model. Quick introduction: update paths for the CMake/CPack build (the old build/ recursive-make tree this page referenced is gone), note the Python 3/Phoenix codereg port, add the CMakeLists.txt install()-rule gotcha found repeatedly this modernization pass, replace the stale hardcoded code-support list with links to the actual tracking issues, and add sections on the server-side services and the Prop*.C property family that didn't exist when this page was last written.
