It could be interesting to move the whole package to python, and not have the requirement on PHP. This would make sense when one wants to setup a temporary local bush server (during a CTF for exemple) without wanting to deploy a full fledged webserver & PHP. It would also simplify the repository as the same project could be both the server and client.
